Jonas' has performed numerous human health and ecological risk assessments at sites across the US; these have ranged from simplified risk-based corrective action (RBCA) studies at UST sites to multi-volume risk assessments at CERCLA and RCRA facilities. Our experience includes risk assessment efforts using ASTM, USEPA, and DTSC guidelines, incorporating quantitative risk estimates for a wide range of chemicals of potential concern, including radionuclides. We have successfully used risk assessment results as the basis for developing site-specific cleanup goals for impacted media, demonstrating the absence of significant health risks, supporting changes in land use, in support of large construction projects, and in support of outlining risk management measures.
